Lancs Parkland Classic Banner

COMPETITION FORMAT :

FairhavenThis tour has evolved from the success of the Lancashire Classic which was first staged in 2013. The Lancashire Classic has been full for each of its five year existence, and the Organising Committee have applied their expertise from this event to the brand new Lancashire Parkland Classic.

As the name suggests, this 3-Day golf tour visits three classic parkland golf courses in the North West of England. By booking just two days accommodation (not included within the entry fee) you have the chance to enjoy a 3-Day golfing break with a difference – one you’ll want to visit time and time again.

For each round you will be matched with new playing partners from other teams, so you will meet and enjoy the company of other golfers.

Over the first 2 days of 4BBB the pairs in your team will rotate and be matched with a different pair from another team each day, so you will meet and enjoy the company of other golfers. On the 3rd day your team will all play together, with the best 2 scores counting on each hole.

SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS:

  • The tour lasts 3 consecutive days Wednesday through to Friday.
  • All players in the competition play the same course each day.
  • There will be a Nearest the Pin on a Par 3 & a Nearest the Pin in 2 on a Par 4 each day.
  • It is a four man team event where Stableford points are accumulated over the three days.
  • All days are 90% handicap, the first two days being four-ball-better-ball, and the third day being a 4-man Team competition (2 to count).
  • On the first 2 days both of your team pairs will play within 30 minutes of each other to aid social and travel arrangements.
  • Team partners in the 4BBB format will rotate daily - as described in table below and detailed on the How to Enter page.

All of the venues have friendly clubhouses where you’ll get the chance to enjoy a wide variety of the most popular local beers and of course famous Lancashire hospitality.
