The Lancashire Classic Golf Tour 2027

The time is nigh!

We’re pleased to announce that the Lancashire Classic will be returning in 2027 and will be hosted by the usual four clubs beginning at Penwortham on Monday, 5th July.

Sign up for the competition will be going live on 29th November 2026.

Just a few details about the 2027 edition of the tour… there is a price increase per person to £240pp. Whilst this was a difficult decision, it was unavoidable due to continuing rising costs, but we feel playing these four courses for the equivalent of £60pp still represents unrivalled value for money.

To try and mitigate this increase, we have amended the prize structure, with the top prize now a fantastic £1000 for the overall winning team!

We have also extended the prize placings, with the introduction of additional “duo” 4-Ball green fee vouchers: combining rounds at SAOL & Fairhaven (5th place overall), and Preston & Penwortham (6th place overall).

Daily prizes will continue to be in effect.

A message from The Lancashire Classic Golf Tour Organisers about the 2026 Competition.

Can we first send a huge thank you to all the players for making the 2026 edition what we hope was a great success.

What a week weather-wise, hope you’ve managed to make it through unscathed?!
As you will have noticed this year, there were some new faces in the admin side of things and thank you for your patience in what was the first year of administering the competition for many of us – including me. There may have been some teething problems, but we hope we ironed them out.

A big thanks as always to the teams at Fairhaven, Preston and St Annes Old Links for being such great hosts as always.

The final standings of the Lancs Classic leaderboard are here on the website and have been emailed to the Team Reps.

A huge congratulations to The Early Birds who have claimed top spot this year. A barnstorming Rd.3 at Preston looks like it made the difference.

The next year will see a slight raise in Entry Fees, for all the usual reasons, incl. rising costs etc etc. but also a rise in Prize amounts, all in all still representing exceptional value for money to play 4 fantastic courses.

Prizes, which will be following the same structure as previous years, will be in voucher format for your convenience, and will be mailed out to all those set to receive them.

We’d love to welcome you all back for the next iteration, so keep an eye out for early-bird access for returning players to guarantee your spot!

Congratulations go to the winning team called The Earlybirds made up of:
    Lewys Staple (Coed-Y-Mwstwr GC),
    Andrew Dunn (Coed-Y-Mwstwr GC),
    Adam Curtin (Pennard GC),
    Michael Wilson (Bransford GC).
They triumphed due to some steady knocks throughout the week and a great score on the Final day to record an impressive 336 pts.

 Golfers came from all over the UK - Recent years have seen players from all parts of the of the country. In previous years we had become an International event as teams from Europe competed but since Covid Travel restrictions and concerns not as many have been able to compete - maybe they will in 2026.

There has been a FULL take up of tee-times every year, with players from all over the UK and as mentioned previously, Europe.
All competing to win the Lancs Classic Golf Tour so it's expected you'll need to be quick if you want to join in this well established and great festival of competitive golf next year.
